Drains Well

Yesterday the drains were coming out Blake was all prepped and a bit dozzie but that's as far as it got he had as much med as they could give him but he wouldn't/didn't go to sleep so they called it off so still 3 drains and Theatre was call and organised for Thursday morning to go down and have the 2 drains out

BUT
Today Thursday up early ready for 7.30 what i thought they said and nothing the DR's did there rounds and said Blake was second on theatre list so should be able to go and get his 2 drains out about 2pm so we went for a walk to the play room we played in there for hrs the anesthetist came in for a talk and after they left Blake decide to change tables and when he did that i looked down and there was 1 of his drains he didn't even know so I quickly ducked out and grabbed his nurse Steph and his Dr and when taking of his dressings what it was the WRONG drain that fell out that was the drain that was meant to stay in and theatre was called to see if Blake could go in quicker as his drains have been in for a while his ties that hold the drains and close the hole came off the drains day's ago so there was a hole in his chest so they had to motioned him to chest air didn't get in and now we have to check for infection ahhh fun
Xray then in to Theatre 1hr after drain fell out but the surgeons decide to secure and clean the remaining drains and stitched up the hole so we all are hoping the excess fluid around Blake chest will drain thought the remaining drain but if not they will have to reinsert the other drain
